Where it all began...
Several people from NC - mostly from the Winston Salem area - met at the National Convention in Chicago in the summer of 1974 and started a conversation about the possibility of a Chapter in NC. Allen Martin and Cecil Miller were the chief organizers.
1976
Articles of Incorporation
The Articles of Incorporation came along 2.5 years later and were signed by the Officers: Linwood Brown, Bruce Hewitt, Scott Jarrett, Allen Martin, Joe Rouse, Ora Rouse, and Bill Smith.
Fall 1974
Initial Meeting Held
The initial meeting in Winston was held a couple of months later. Among the Charter members were Allen & Anne Martin, Cecil & Pat Miller, Lou & Alta Reece, Bill Prichard, and _____.
Presently Pat & Bill are our only surviving Charter Members.
